Wrestling Tournament


Welcome to the Battle Rattle III Pre-Season Wrestling Tournament brought to you by the National Guard, held at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA on the weekend of 5-7 Nov 10. We are happy to have your team participate! Included in this welcome letter is information on how the tournament will run, a timeline of events for the weekend and a “what to bring” checklist.  There is also a standard release agreement that needs to be signed by all the individuals coming to the tournament (wrestler’s parents, coaches, and trainer/managers). ***WRESTLERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IF THE RELEASE IS NOT FULLY COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO THE NATIONAL GUARD PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE BUS. *** Transportation, food and lodging are provided for wrestlers and coaches. Schedules and tours subject to change.

Transportation

-Pick-up location will be at the area High School unless other arrangements have been made. Each coach has the pick-up times and location details.  
-All return transportation will be on Sunday, departing Fort Indiantown Gap at approximately   12 noon.  

Lodging

-There will be eight buildings for lodging; your bus driver will bring you to your building.

-A bed will be provided but BEDDING IS NOT AVAILABLE. Bring bedding (I.E. SLEEPING BAG, PILLOW)

-Any Females will sleep in a separate building.

-A National Guard representative will be onsite overnight at each building; however, a wrestling coach needs to stay with the team.

Tournament Day

-Twelve teams, Four mats. Round robin style team dual tournament 3 teams per mat. After the round robin is done each first place team from the four round robins will go to a standard four man bracket to wrestle for the championship. The same applies for the 2nd and 3rd place teams from the round robin.
-Matches will be 1-1-1
-Medals will be awarded to the top three teams.
-Six Individual trophies will be awarded.
-One top team trophy awarded.
-Bottled water will be provided
-Medical EMT will be onsite

Battle Rattle Code of Conduct

As a participant in the Battle Rattle wrestling tournament I pledge to:

•    Act in a sportsman-like manner consistent with the spirit of fair play and responsible conduct
•    Avoid criminal behavior
•    Respect the property of others whether personal, public or government
•    Respect members of my team, other teams, spectators and officials, and engage in no form of verbal, physical or sexual harassment or abuse.
•    Follow my team rules, including by way of example, rules regarding curfew and required attendance at team meetings or functions, and such other rules as may be in force during my time at the Battle Rattle tournament weekend.
•    Act in a way that will bring respect and honor to the team
•    Clean up after myself and my team
